3.4 Summary
Overall there are few examples of AJAX and JavaScript being implemented in a disabled user friendly way. The reliance on a user being able to run the software created by web developments is increasing and is preventing a number of users from interacting with the services. There seems to be limited awareness of users with limiting illnesses. Due to implementation issues accessible alternatives for users are left out from the design process. For complex systems that heavily rely on JavaScript this could be seen as acceptable as the system would have to be remade to enable basic HTML to interact with it. For more simple solutions such as posting a message on a forum there can easily be alternatives implemented with no affect on the user.
